About

The Big Sleuth has come to Solihull!

Following the flying success of The Big Hoot, Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity and creative producers Wild in Art have brought to life a second trail for 2017, but instead this time the colourful characters are Sun Bears instead of owls.

The Big Sleuth, so named because sleuth is the collective noun for a group of bears, has extended it's bear hunt to wider regions around Birmingham. For the summer Solihull is now home to 6 beautiful bears and some tiny bear cubs, two funded by Solihull BID and the others funded by Mell Square, Touchwood, National Grid and Solihull College.

The sun bear, also known as the honey bear, has been chosen because it’s the smallest of the worlds eight bear species – making it the perfect choice for the children’s hospital to help it raise vital funds when the bears go to auction.

Start your trail off in Solihull today, why not send us a picture with your bear? It could feature on our website. You can collect the trail maps from various locations, or download the Big Sleuth App now and come across some amazing rewards as you hunt.

Remember to tag us in your photos @SolihullBID and #SolSunBears
